Eyelid Lift VS. Brow Lift VS. Dermal Fillers

Eyelid Lift vs. Brow Lift
An eyelid lift can be performed on the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or both. An upper eyelid lift can remove sagging skin from the upper eyelids that may hang over the eyes and prevent full range of vision. A forehead lift (brow lift) can also improve this area as well as minimize deep forehead wrinkles. Whether you should get an eyelid lift or forehead lift will depend on the amount of skin laxity beneath the brow and the position of the brow. In women, a feminine brow rests right above the orbital rim and is somewhat arched. If aging has flattened or lowered the brow, a brow lift will improve the shape and eliminate excess eyelid skin at the same time without the need for small incisions near the eyes. The same effect from a brow lift can be achieved in men while maintaining a masculine brow. Both procedures are performed endoscopically, with tiny and minimal incisions, and can be performed with general anesthesia as outpatient procedures.
Eyelid Lift vs. Dermal Fillers
Both a brow lift and an eyelid lift can improve wrinkles around the eyes. When wrinkles are the main concern, some patients are satisfied with temporary results from dermal fillers, which can last six months to two years. Results are immediate or will continue to improve in the days following treatment. Patients can resume normal activity after these “lunch-hour” treatments and appear in public the same day.
Dr. Bonaldi can also combine any of these procedures to produce optimal results while correcting a variety of concerns. To find out the customized treatment that can best meet your needs, please schedule a consultation by calling (775) 828-7400 or by filling out our online contact form today.
