What Is UPNEEQ®?
UPNEEQ® is an oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution that stimulates the levator and Muller’s muscles in the upper eyelid, causing the muscles to contract. This process lifts the upper eyelids to give you a more youthful appearance to your entire face.
What Are the Benefits of UPNEEQ®?
Lifted Eyelids
As we age, the levator muscle and/or Muller’s muscle in the upper eyelid can weaken, causing the upper eyelid to sag. This droopy eyelid can make you look more worn down than you would like and obstruct your field of vision. The UPNEEQ® eye drop solution stimulates these muscles, resulting in a tighter and more lifted appearance to the upper eyelids.
Improved Appearance of the Eye

How Is UPNEEQ® Used?
Consultation
At your consultation, you can discuss your aesthetic frustrations, and your provider will evaluate your condition to determine if UPNEEQ® is the right treatment option for you. You will also be able to ask any questions about the treatment.
Treatment
UPNEEQ® is a prescription eye drop treatment that should be used once per day. For this treatment, apply one drop of the UPNEEQ® solution to each eye. The UPNEEQ® treatment is packaged in single-use containers to ensure the safest results possible.
It is important that you do not irritate the eyes for at least fifteen minutes after applying the solution (this includes rubbing the eyes and putting in contact lenses).

What Can I Expect During My UPNEEQ® Recovery?
Along with an improved appearance to your eyelids and eyes, there is no recovery or downtime associated with UPNEEQ®. This means you can get on with your normal, daily activities without delay.
When Will I See My UPNEEQ® Results?
After applying UPNEEQ®, you can expect to have lifted upper eyelids and clearer and brighter eyes.
It can take anywhere from five to 15 minutes for the solution to activate and the results to become visible. Additionally, results generally last at least six hours, with some patients achieving improvement to their upper eyelids for eight to 10 hours.

While age is the most common reason for patients to suffer from blepharoptosis, ptosis of the upper eyelids can indicate more serious health concerns, including neurologic or orbital diseases. Because of this, it is often smart to schedule a visit with your primary care physician to ensure that there are no underlying health concerns related to your condition.
UPNEEQ® is safe and effective to use one time per day. You may continue using UPNEEQ® as long as needed to achieve the desired aesthetic appearance.
While some patients have reported irritation while applying the eye drop solution, most patients do not experience any pain or discomfort.
Your UPNEEQ® cost varies depending on the number of treatments purchased. At your consultation, you will be provided with an accurate cost estimate.
UPNEEQ® is safe to use; however, women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, and patients under the age of six should not use UPNEEQ®.
Yes. However, it is important that you wait at least 15 minutes after applying the UPNEEQ® solution before using other eye drops.
