The Microneedling Session
- The treatment area is sanitized to prevent infection.

- The handheld microneedling device is passed over the treatment area to create punctures in the skin.
- After-care instructions are provided.
The Regeneration Process
- The micro-injuries made to the treatment area(s) trigger the release of platelets and growth factors, which, in turn, activates increased collagen and elastin production.
- Over the next few weeks, damaged skin cells are replaced with healthy new ones.
What Can I Expect During Microneedling Recovery?
There is little to no downtime associated with microneedling, and your everyday activities can be resumed immediately after treatment. Redness following this procedure is common but only lasts one or two days. Avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours, and always protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
When Will I See My Microneedling Results?
Three to five microneedling treatments may be recommended, depending on the condition of your skin and your desired results. Mild discomfort may accompany redness after your microneedling session, but this should resolve within the same timeframe. Use a cold compress to reduce any tenderness.
Microneedling creates tiny punctures in the skin and requires no incisions, so typically, there is no chance of scars forming. However, notify our medical aesthetician during your consultation if you are known to scar easily or develop keloids.
Since no two patients are exactly alike, and your treatment needs are unique, the cost of microneedling varies significantly and depends on the number and size of the treatment areas. An accurate price quote will be provided at the end of your consultation.
Microneedling delivers long-lasting results, but they are not permanent. Multiple sessions spaced a month apart will help ensure ideal results, and additional periodic treatments can extend them indefinitely.
